Itinerary for Round Dhaulagiri
Commencing
the trek from Beni across the Kali Gandaki
valley crossing high passes and to Jomsom.
Between the rivers of Kali, Gandaki and Bheri
stands Dhaulagiri Himal, a massive ridge with a
procession of high peaks. Dhaulagiri (8,167m) is
the seventh highest peak of the World and one of
the world biggest snow covered mountain. It's a
challenging trek around Dhaulagiri-following
Marshyangdi Khola westwards to Durbang and turn
north on a tiny trail leasing through forests
into the high country. Much of the route is on
snow & glacier as it crosses French Col
(5,240m) & Dhampus pass
(5,155m). Itinerary
